10-11am: “How to Carry Yourself When You are Carrying”

Ruth Idzik

Operations specialist, compliancy officer, and private instructor at Maxon Shooter’s Supplies. Ruth is a NRA Certified Instructor in Basic Pistol, Personal Protection Inside and Outside the Home and a certified NRA Range Safety Officer. Ruth has been an avid shotgun and pistol shooter all her life and has enjoyed her time in the shooting sports industry for more than six years.



11am-12pm: “Can We Talk? Educating Your Anti-Gun Friends”

Beth Alcazar:

Creator of the “Pacifiers & Peacemakers” blog and author of “Women’s Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals,” Beth Alcazar has enjoyed nearly two decades of teaching and working in the shooting/outdoors industry. She is certified through the NRA as a Training Counselor, Chief Range Safety Officer, and Certified Instructor for multiple disciplines. She is also a Certified Instructor through Sig Sauer Academy, The Well Armed Woman, D.R.A.W. School, A.L.I.C.E. Training Institute, and I.C.E. Training, and is a USCCA Certified Instructor and Senior Training Counselor. Beth has worked with the USCCA since 2013 and officially joined the team in 2016. As associate editor of the women’s section of Concealed Carry Magazine, one of her most important goals (and personal missions) is to help develop, organize, and manage products and programs for their women’s focus. She holds degrees in language arts, education, and communication management, and uses her experience and enthusiasm to share safe and responsible firearms ownership and usage with others.


12-1pm: “Self Defense Statistics: How Gunfights Actually Happen”

Michelle Quesada:

Primary firearms instructor of the concealed carry program at College of DuPage, Homeland Security Training Institute. Her focus is in precision pistol and defensive handgun shooting as well as the development of junior pistol athletes and female shooters. She is a State certified and registered firearms instructor; NRA Certified Instructor: Basic Pistol, Personal Protection Inside and Outside the Home; NRA Chief Range Safety Officer; State of Illinois Certified Concealed Carry Instructor (CCI); NRA Double Distinguished Expert – semi-automatic pistol; USA Shooting Coach Level 1; Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation – Registered Firearms Instructor.


1-2pm: “Safe Gun Storage: At Home and On The Road”

2-3pm: “Concealed Carry Equipment Review”

Sarah Natalie:

General Manager of Maxon Shooter’s Supplies. She is a graduate of Purdue University and has been involved in the shooting sports for the last 25 years. Sarah is a USCCA and NRA certified firearms instructor. She is also a certified instructor through the National Safety Council in First Aid and CPR as well as an ASP Tactical Weapons Instructor. Sarah has more than 500 hours of professional training and is also a certified armorer through both Smith&Wesson and Glock. Sarah is passionate about sharing all aspects of the shooting sports with students and customers of Maxon Shooter’s Supplies.
