First the Maxon Facility is great, lots of training options from pistol education, rifle and CPR. These folks are great to work with. Extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. They treat you every time like it’s your first time. Kevin was... awesome for Basic Pistol 1. Answers all your questions, very educated. Alex helped out with the range portion and was very smooth facilitating eight individuals to get our feet wet handling the variety of pistols. I’m so glad I got the opportunity to learn here. Excellent place to start.

I took the AR-15 Training Level 1 and rented one of their AR-15 and it was incredible. The instructor, Kevin Burk, did... a great job teaching the class and guiding us through maintaining the AR and tips on targeting. Highly recommend this class.

I recently had the pleasure of taking a 1-hour gun instruction course at maxon shooters with Goodie, and I must say it was an outstanding experience. Goodie's expertise and teaching style left a lasting impression on me.During the course, he provided comprehensive hands-on instruction with various calibers and... firearm options. This practical approach helped me gain confidence and a better understanding of firearms. Goodie's emphasis on safety throughout the session was truly commendable, creating a secure and comfortable learning environment.

Came here on a recommendation and was very pleased with my experience! We booked an hour of private instruction as our group was almost completely new to shooting. Kevin was our private instructor and was... great! He was very knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. The rest of the staff was very friendly as well and the facilities were nice. The class was great. It did a good job covering the gamut of basic pistol training - Safety, gun handling, gun ownership, types of pistols, loading and unloading, proper stance and... grip, gun storage, and ammunition types, storage & handling. We also spent about an hour in the range trying 5 different types of handguns. I was really surprised at how much a 9mm kicks. Last but not least, our instructor Shawn was great. He thoroughly answered all our questions and always kept things interesting.3

This 5 star review is first and foremost for my Concealed Carry Course with Jon, but it's worth noting that I also love the well managed range and the friendly folks behind the gun counter. This can't be said for... every shop or range in the area by a long shot Aside from feeling prepared to conceal a weapon, I feel that I'm a better shooter and citizen because of this class. I just completed my CCL 16hr (Saturday - Sunday) class here. The facility is clean and organized, the staff is friendly and attentive. The instructor, Jon N. was... very knowledgeable. He made the class very interesting and fun which made it fly by fast. It was very informative and I walked away learning a lot. I definitely recommend Maxon Shooter’s and Jon’s class!3

4 months ago I took my best friend here for her birthday last week and we both loved it! She had been to a shooting range once before but said she could... use a refresher and it was my first time shooting a gun so I signed us up for the 1-hour private instruction. I just finished my 8-hour CCL class with Jon and he was thorough and explicit about the law and realities of concealed carrying. He was also... very supportive during the test since I was extremely nervous. To prepare for my exam, I took a private lesson with Steve yesterday who was incredible. He was so kind and patient with me. This test was only the 4th time I’ve ever shot a gun with yesterday’s private lesson being the 3rd and I passed! I needed the emotional support, haha, and one might think you wouldn’t find that at a gun range but you will here! 3
