  1. You must bring with you your 5 hr & 3 hr Maxon Basic Pistol Certificates, 8 hr NRA Basic Pistol Certificate,  military ID, or DD214 paperwork to receive your CCL Training Certificate.

  2. You must show up on time. The state requires 8 complete hours of training. Failure to arrive by the class's start time will result in your inability to attend the class.

  3. You must be over 21.

  4. You must have a valid FOID, State ID, or Driver's License.

  5. Bring pen and paper.

  6. Eye and ear protection

  7. 30 rounds of ammunition (which you can purchase in-store)

  8. A firearm unloaded and in a case. We have plenty of rental guns available if you do not own something suitable.

At the end of class, after you pass your qualification shoot, you will be given a certificate of training that will need to be uploaded into your concealed carry license application on the ISPFSB website.

We also offer application assistance for a $50 fee if you need computer help, or just don't want to deal with the hassle.

The Illinois Concealed Carry License Qualification Shoot Requires 30 Rounds of Ammunition. You Must Shoot at a B-27 Silhouette Target:

  1. 10 rounds from a distance of 5 yards
  2. 10 rounds from a distance of 7 yards
  3. 10 rounds from a distance of 10 yards

TO PASS YOU MUST SHOOT WITH AT LEAST 70% ACCURACY.

This means at least 21 of your 30 rounds must fall within the 16" x 22" outer (7) ring of the standard B-27 target. If you fail you must complete a basic pistol training level 2 or private instruction class before you will be allowed to re-shoot the qualification.
